Workshop Description: This hands-on workshop provides the k-12 and college educator with a creative opportunity to develop a Web portfolio, also known as an e-portfolio. Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the role of the electronic portfolio in the context of their discipline, career, and lifelong learning process. Attendees must bring their own laptop computer with Internet capability. High speed WiFi is provided free at the learning site. Each participant finishes the workshop with a Web Portfolio posted to the Internet and a free Web hosting account to PortfolioVillage.com. The PortfolioVillage Membership includes a URL, server space, Flash website builder, and learning tools. Participants learn using tutorial files and then have an opportunity to insert their own materials in their Web portfolios. Seating is limited so please register early.

About Your Instructor, John DiMarco, Ph.D.
Professor DiMarco engages audiences with his polished and value-driven learning experiences. He teaches and writes undergraduate portfolio courses and has published a textbook and scholarly articles on Web portfolios. Dr. DiMarco is a frequent academic speaker and has presented sessions and workshops at events including the Campus Technology Forum, the E-Learning Guild's Learning Solutions Conference, the NYS Small Business Development Center, and the Information Resources Management Conference.
