PortfolioVillage was conceived and founded by John DiMarco in 2005. Dr. DiMarco is the author of Digital Design for Print and Web (John Wiley & Sons 2010) and Web Portfolio Design and Applications (Idea Group Publishing 2006). He is a web portfolio researcher who has authored chapters and scholarly articles on web portfolios. He is a professor of communication who has been teaching web portfolio design, graphic design, corporate communications, and career development skills for over 10 years in New York colleges and universities. John DiMarco holds a Ph.D. in Information Studies from Long Island University (LIU - C.W. Post) in New York.
